"Now!" Called a female voice, echoing from a not-so-distant location within the cavern they slept in. A Gorebyss rocketed from the confines of the same body of water Bidoof had crept from, just before a triumphant looking Piplup that leaned as it flapped its way from the water. Gorebyss fell to the ground, sending a cloud of dust around it as it flapped about clearly in agony. "Go, Pokeball!" The girl, now a silhouette of a trainer, said as she came into partial view.
A pokeball careened at the ground, narrowly missing a Pokémon that with an immense thrust, flopped its way back within the water that it slipped deeply beneath. "Ergh..." The girl cursed under her breath, swinging her fist stereotypically. She sighed as she turned slightly, and as she did, her eyes caught the sight of a sleeping trainer laying angled against a rock. She blushed as she stood and watched the boy breathe for a second, prior to her Piplup approaching her and tugging at the highest point of her sneaker. "Lup lup" it said, slightly confused. "Oh ha, sorry Piplup" she said, blushing and squinting before leaning down and taking her Pokémon in her arms and rocking it quickly back and forth, causing it to laugh lightly. She kissed the Pokémon rapidly and redundantly, continuing the antic.
She perpetuated the behavior as she approached the sleeping trainer, until she took a seat, Piplup in her lap, as she too leaned against a rock and looked to the trainer as she began to fall asleep.
"What the?!" Kal exclaimed as he approached Cairo beside Jessica once more, startled at the sight of an unfamiliar face falling into slumber adjacent to their friend.

"Well, I--" Jessica started, before another female voice called out 'Now!'. "Nyuh?" Jessica said, looking around. A dim silhouette in the water and loud splashing confirmed a living presence. From the water, a long, pink fish and a blue penguin appeared, going different directions and one clearly in a lot more pain than the other. Deciding this must've been just a capture, and a 'Go, PokéBall!' making it obvious, Jessica went on. "Um, not really. I, er, don't suppose. But... Grah. I can't tell. I was dating just before I came here, but I, er, we left him... I suppose that warrants a 'break-up'? So, um, not really, no." Jessica rambled, answering the question many times over. "A-anyways--" Jessica started, before Kal had gotten up, and pointed to the new human in the cavern. Jessica was quickly up and beside him, and he exclaimed, "What the?!" Jessica, with her being her, wouldn't have been so blunt, but she supposed Kal's version would probably work best. This was odd, but then again, taking a quick liking to Cairo seemed incredibly easy. Not knowing why, probably just nervousness, but Jessica's face went pink. Luckily for her, not like anyone would see it.

"What the?!" An exclamation sounded through Cairo's dormant ears that were coaxed appropriately into wake. "Wha?!" He awoke, startling his friends and the sleeping stranger that had joined their company, "Ah!" She screamed as Cairo scremed back, before Piplup began shrieking. "What is going o-" Jessica began calmly before Kal too began screeching. She raised on confused brow before throwing a hand over Kal's mouth. He fought the hand for a moment before he realized what was happening and laughed as Jessica rolled her eyes. "Shut up!" She called over the frightful exclamations of the trainers.
Cairo looked confused as he ceased the noise, "Oh God, sorry" he began as he was panting, "You scared me, I had no idea who you were or...Where I was for a second" he said, addressing the startled girl. The two stared at one another for a moment before they both threw a hand to the back of their heads and blushed as they laughed lightly. "No I'm sorry" the girl said as she stood and brushed herself off, "My name's Ava, Ava Browning, of Floaroma town" She said as she extended a hand to Cairo to help him to his feet. "Cairo Whitter, Oldale, Hoenn" he said, "So, you're a native of Sinnoh, then?" Kal asked to the girl as he and Jessica drew closer, "Yep" she answered with a friendly smile. "Lup!" Piplup called, tugging at the highest point of Ava's sneaker, as it normally did when trying to garner attention, "Oh sorry, and this" She said, taking the Pok?mon in her arms, "Is Piplup!" Piplup crossed its arms and nodded its head triumphantly, exhaling to show off its chest.
"Perhaps then, she could show us around...? That is, if you wanted to travel with us" Kal said, addressing Jessica, and then Ava in turn.

Jessica seemed to be thinking. She studied Ava, who was waiting politely for an answer before giving one of her own, for a minute before nodding and saying, "Sure, it'd be great if you traveled with us for a while." She smiled, introduced herself and extended a hand that Ava shook before allowing Cairo and Kallen to do the same. It was decided that Ava would accompany them as a leader, knowing more about Sinnoh than the others. Kal hoped she maybe had some region natives that he could look at, he was still very curious to see what kind of Pok?mon lived outside Fallarbor.
"Would it be ok if we stayed away from Solaceon?" Kal queried. He wanted to avoid any accidental run ins with his uncle. Ava was the first to respond, nodding her head in a manner that caused Kal to check and see if she was wearing headphones in her ears. Cairo and Jessica looked ready to ask why but Ava had already taken charge and suggested they gather their things and leave the cave,

Just as Jessica was readying herself to leave, an odd chill was sent down her spine. She couldn't tell... was it some form of nostalgia, or perhaps the opposite: a premonition? Either way, it wasn't too pleasant, so she ran right up near the rest of the group. "What is it, Jessica?" Cairo asked, almost sarcastically while still meaning it. Jessica took another quick survey of her surroundings. "Oh, it's nothing. Just can't wait to re-explore Sinnoh!" She said, drawing up a smile. She didn't know why, but she just did it.
Ava had lead them to an exit of the mountain cavern. "And here we are! We'll probably be wanting to head to Oreburgh, it's the nearest source of civilisation." Ava explained. "Sounds cool to me." Jessica said, and after agreement from the others, they headed to the barely-morning outdoors. Soon enough, Oreburgh was visible. Jessica took another last look at the mountain, before only the peak was visible (due to a cliff). She was now able to shake the feeling she had off, after all, why let anything more in her way? Especially a self-provided obstacle.
