Cairo laughed slightly at Jessica's misfortune, head glancing slightly, but naturally, to movement beside him. Atticus was striding past him and approaching Jessica, whom he promptly took in his arms and smiled at, kissing her head. He sighed slightly, such accounts made him feel slightly more distanced from Alison lately, he had no desire to be or anything of the sort, it just seemed to be happening.
"What's on the agenda for today, exactly?" Cairo asked, wanting desperately to pick things up and get moving once more, as there was little left to be done here.

"Well," Atticus said, playing with his hair which was still damp from a recent shower, "I guess we should say goodbye to my mom now and then head on over to the Toge Festival for a while and then I think we can head on to wherever it is we're headed next." Cairo nodded, obviously happy that they now had a plan. "Sounds good." The group spent a while gathering their belongings that were scattered around Atticus's room. Atticus said goodbye to Swalot and promised him he would see him again soon. "Make sure to keep Pooch off of my bed." He reminded his Pok?mon with a wink as he fixed his pokebelt.
"Thanks again for your hospitality Mrs. Dosser." The majority of the group said as the trainers were out the door and walking away from Atticus's house. "Oh it was no problem at all! Bye bye! And Atticus be sure to call real soon!" Atticus laughed slightly and gave one last goodbye wave to his mother. "Where exactly do you think the Toge Festival is?" Alison asked once the door was shut. "My guess," Atticus said, closing the gate as the four exited his property. "Is everywhere." He finished as he looked to Vermilion City, which had been decorated in honor of the Togepi line.
"C'mon let's go!" Atticus laughed as he ran ahead towards the center of the city. "Go, Togetic!" He shouted, tossing Togetic's pokeball. Glistening white light poured from the airborne pokeball and Togetic sparkled as she materialized. "Toge toge!" Togetic said joyfully, flying around Atticus's head a few times before landing in his arms. "Let's go!" He repeated.
Vermilion city was far different than it had been the previous day. The whole city looked like a giant carnival. Togepis, Togetics and Togekiss' could be seen all over the place. There were games trainers could play, rides they could ride, and prizes they could win. Almost everything was based on the Togepi line. "Oh wow!" Atticus heard a woman say as she noticed Atticus's Togetic was shiny. He laughed. It was kind of odd how someone could tell that just by looking at it once and he hadn't had a clue until someone pointed it out.
Togetic began to squirm and Atticus released his hold on the Pok?mon, allowing her to fly around with a couple of Togekiss. He heard a few more 'oohs' and 'ahhs' and 'wows' from people as they took notice of his Pok?mon's different coloring. Atticus kept an eye on Togetic, recognizing her by the ribbon around her neck. For the first time, he actually noticed how Togetic was slightly different in color than a few other ones nearby.
"What do you guys think?" Atticus asked his friends. Jessica was the one to answer as Cairo and Alison were busy. Cairo was trying to win Alison a large Pok?mon doll by hitting down some bottles with a ball. "It's pretty cool." She said, walking beside him. "Yeah." Atticus said, taking Jessica's hand. Both trainers blushed. Jessica moved closer. Togetic was following the two above their heads a few feet. "So," Atticus said as he saw a few interesting looking games. "Want me to win you a prize?" Jessica laughed. "What makes you think you can?" "Pff." He replied, handing some money to a man behind a booth. "Don't have much faith in me, do ya?" Jessica put her hands on her hips, smirking. "All right, fine. Go ahead and win me this prize."
"What you wanna do is pop three balloons with these darts." The man said, handing Atticus five darts. He stepped aside, revealing the wall behind him. Balloons of assorted colors were stuck on wall with a large amount of holes in it. "Go ahead." Jessica taunted playfully. "Shut up..." Atticus joked, picking up a dart. He closed one eye, bent down a bit and took aim for a large blue balloon. He threw the dart. It missed by about an inch.
"Pff..." Jessica laughed. "I still got four more..." He said, ignoring her. He aimed once more for the blue balloon. Again, he missed. Atticus swore. "Better hit these next three..." Jessica teased. Atticus threw the dart. It missed the blue balloon but hit a pink one close to it. The pink balloon popped. "You got lucky." Jessica declared. "Hah, I was aiming for that one." Atticus lied. "Right..." Atticus picked up one of his remaining darts. He aimed for a green balloon. It hit a red one. "One more." He said, looking back at Jessica who was pretending not to look.
He picked up his last dart. "So which one are you going for?" Jessica asked. Atticus looked at the wall. "The white one." He said, pointing to a white balloon. "Ok, go ahead." He gulped. Taking aim, Atticus threw the dart. It missed. "So close!" The man behind the booth said, retrieving the darts. As Atticus turned around he saw Jessica smiling. "I'd like to see you do better..." He joked as he started to walk away from the booth.
"Is that a fact?" Jessica asked, staying put. She handed money to the man behind the counter. He handed back five darts. "Red." Jessica said, throwing the dart. It hit a red balloon. "Green." she threw another, hitting a green balloon. "Purple." Her third dart hit a purple balloon. "Winner!" The man behind the booth said, taking back the two unused darts and gathering the three that were stuck in the wall. "Choose your prize."
"Thanks." Jessica said, taking a shiny stone as her prize. "Here." She said, smirking and handing the prize to an angered Atticus. He stuffed it in his pocket. "Let's go..." He mumbled as Jessica laughed and followed, Togetic on her shoulder.

OOC: It's perfectly fine with me. :3 I'll probably do just as much anyways. XD
Jessica had some feeling about the Shiny Stone, it had something to it... but nothing she could remember. Something she learned in Sinnoh... Yet she passed off the notions, not like they mattered, the stone was now Atticus'. And she realised how much more fun this was then she initially thought. Soon, Jessica began petting Togetic, who eventually lost interest and flew off, not far, just fluttering around the couple. "So, what's next?" Jessica asked, in something of a taunt, but nothing meant to offend. Atticus shrugged, and looked around. The runners of various booths were calling out to individuals and groups, trying to get them to pay for the many games offered, in near-hopeless attempts at winning a prize. One particular runner, noticing Atticus' survey of the area, called them over. His game was throwing rings at bottles, trying to get them on the bottles' top rim. Atticus blushed a little, another accuracy game was not exactly what he was looking for. "Nah." He said, waving off the runner, while he and Jessica resumed walking with Togetic still in close proximity. "Well, then what?" Jessica teased, nudging Atticus in the shoulder. He didn't seem quite as amused, but continued on nevertheless. Jessica yawned, then spoke once more. "At the least, let's reunite with Cairo and Alison. At the very least, get their general location in mind." She said, still walking as she said so. "Sure, we'll go with that." Atticus said, seeming a bit less bummed about the recent dart game. This task was relatively simple, all Atticus and Jessica had to do was turn a corner. "Well, there they are!" Jessica said, quickening her pace. Togetic kept up, and prompted Atticus to do the same. When they reached the couple, it could be seen that Cairo had won Alison a huge amount of prizes, and was currently playing another game, winning. Atticus seemed to tense up some, and got red in the cheeks. Jessica had another taunt seeing this, and with a wide smile, turned to Atticus... but seeing his facial expression stopped her from saying anything about it. But she came up with something else. "Oh Atticus, cheer up." She said, still with a hint of teasing, just before the runner of Cairo's game announced "Winner!!".
'My timing sucks...' Jessica thought, and shook her head slightly as she (with Atticus again being prompted to go faster by Togetic) went up to Cairo and Alison to greet them.

After the excitement of the day started to die down, Alison pulled Cairo aside so she could talk to him. "I've noticed we aren't as close as we used to be." She said him as they sat down, facing each other and she rested her hands on his. "I miss the days where we'd just go off alone and walk, talk, just be together. Can we have another day like that? Just the two of us?" She asked him as she leaned against him. "I just want us to be like we used to be..." She said as a tear gathered in her eye and it slowly made its way down her cheek, glistening in the light of the day.

Cairo donned a smile that spread easily across his face, but was hardly overwhelming as a passing breeze batting his bangs back and forth. "You read my mind" he offered as he took her in his arms, raising a finger to her cheek, where he wiped away the moisture. "I love you, immensly, unconditonally. There isn't a thing in the world that could keep you off of my mind, or periphery. You mean everything to me, more than my family, or my friends, and I can..." he began to blush, as his head fell down slightly, eyes glistening as they strayed apprehensively from hers, "realistically invision, spending the rest of my life with you, Matthews" his voice lightening on the final utterance. "I love you" he managed as his eyes returned to hers, and he maintained an honest smile.

"Maybe," Atticus said as he, Jessica, and Togetic watched Alison and Cairo having a romantic moment. "They just wanna be alone. Y'know, we've spent a lot of time as a group, I'm sure they just wanna enjoy each other's company for now." Jessica nodded, taking one last look at her two friends before her and Atticus headed off in the opposite direction. "So what should we do?" Atticus asked, looking around. "We could play some of the games, I hear you can win prizes..." Jessica joked. Atticus laughed, but he felt slightly embarrassed. "Or," Jessica said, pointing to some water. "We could do that."
A thin, tan man with a moustache and an odd looking hat was helping young couples board odd, Togekiss shaped boats. It was apparently a love boat, and the current took you in and out of a romantic cave. All the couples were doing it. Atticus grabbed money from his pocket and approached the man directly as there was no line. "Two, please." The man smiled. "Naturally." he replied. Togetic landed on Atticus' head. The moustached man took notice of this and smiled. "A Togetic, eh?" He handed back some of Atticus's money. "You get a discount. Enjoy the ride." Jessica and Atticus both smiled. "Thanks so much." Atticus said as he helped Jessica board the boat before getting in as well. Togetic landed on the head of the boat, dipping her foot into the water every now and then.
The Togekiss boat slowly glided through the water, the small splashes it caused made a nice, calming sound. Atticus put his arm around Jessica as their vessel neared the entrance to the cave, which was lit by glowing fungi. "This is nice." Jessica commented, scooting closer to her boyfriend and leaning her head on his shoulder. Both smiled and sat back to enjoy the rest of the ride.

Alison led Cairo over to a batch of trees where they sat down, enjoying each other's company. Alison leaned against him as Vulpix curled up in her lap. "So, what shall we do today anyway?" She asked him as she looked over and saw Jessica and Atticus on the boat ride. She could hear different Pok?mon calling around her and she saw many people running. Vulpix's breathing was deep since she was sleeping. "I was thinking of getting a few more things for Vulpix sometime." She said to Cairo as she closed her eyes and listened to the sounds around her.

Jessica sighed as she saw light coming through the end of the tunnel, the end of the ride. It was actually quite a long ride, but Jessica hadn't noticed. It was then she realised it seemed so short because she had fallen asleep on Atticus' shoulder. "Oh great." Jessica remarked, then noticed Atticus was asleep. She shook him lightly, to which he responded with a slight groan and opening his eyes. "Ow, bright..." He said, somewhat quietly, and squinting. "It's not bright, it's just you-- I mean we, fell asleep on the ride. And look, we're pretty much done." Jessica explained. Atticus groaned again, and sat up. "Well, sorry." "Sorry." The two said, the 'sorry's overlapping. Jessica giggled, and the two blushed. "So, what now? All the red and blue triangles are getting to me." Jessica said, the ride ending shortly after her statement. Togetic made a sound something like 'hmph', and stood akimbo, if that was possible for a Togetic. "Except for yours, of course." Jessca added, and not entirely as a lie. Togetic's stern appearance faded, and the threesome got off the ride. "Well, I don't exactly know what else to do, either..." Atticus said, surveying the general area for anything to do. Nothing. Jessica, not seeing anything either, just gave up. "Well, we got everything from your house... so, I guess we're set to leave. Let's just wait for Cairo and Alison, I guess." Jessica rambled, basically cancelling out her own suggestion. "Aha! I've got it!" Jessica quickly added, having the idea come to her mind during her previous ramble. "Cráp, nevermind..." She finished, forgetting it just as she was about to recite it. "So, what then...?" Atticus asked, somewhat sarcastically, as he raised a brow and gave an odd look to his girlfriend.

"Ok, I guess leaving is a good idea. Let's go find Cairo and Alison again." Atticus said as he took Jessica's hand and began to walk towards where they last saw the couple. He gasped suddenly. Cairo was carrying a large amount of stuffed prizes for Alison, some had to be kept in a black trash bag. "Ow!" Jessica shouted, retrieving her hand from Atticus's grasp. He had accidently tightened his hold and cracked several of her knuckles. "That hurt..." She said, rubbing the hand. Atticus didn't pay much attention. "That's it," He said, taking her by the wrist this time and walking over to a booth. "Atticus, we already played the games..." Jessica said, obviously wanting to leave now that Cairo and Alison were in view. "I'm winning you a prize, whether you like it or not." Atticus declared.
"Four balls, please." He said, throwing some money down on the booth. The man behind the counter handed him four softballs. The goal was to hit the Togekiss when the popped up. If you won, you got to choose from several mini plush dolls. "Good luck." The man said as Atticus took aim. This is where five years of throwing Pokéballs came in handy. Atticus hit each of the things he aimed for. Most of it was luck. "Nice, choose your prize." He handed Atticus a bucket of prizes. Atticus beckoned Jessica over. Together, they chose three keychain dolls. One was a Togetic that shouted, "Toge!" once squeezed. The other was a plain Togekiss, and the third was a Togepi egg that folded inside out and became a Togepi. Atticus was happy, which made Jessica happy.
"Hey guys." Cairo said as he and Alison approached their friends."Ready to leave?" Atticus nodded, he felt ready. "Yep." Jessica said.

The sun was descending quickly as Cairo's query had been attested to. "Alright then" he said, "Where exactly are we headed?" Atticus posited appropriately, "Ummm" Jessica began before Alison stated, "Dunno, if we keep on going straight here, we'll end up in Lavender town" She informed the trainers, "No gym there, but if we pass through we'll end up in Celadon, where there is a gym" Atticus, privy to the region's attractions, landmarks, etc... stated. "And trust me" he began once more, "Lavender is worth seeing" he concluded with a smile as a setting sun's rays lashed his and his friends' bodies, as gentle breezes batted their loose fitting apparel and attributes back and forth. "Mm" Cairo nodded with a smile, "Lavender, sounds nice enough" Cairo concluded before his friends bore similar smiles.
As their heads turned toward what looked to be a viable path out of Vermillion, a small, barely legible sign was just so in what little ambient light remained on their periphery. It bore and arrow, and the name of what was now a familiar sounding town.
