That does remind me of those Pocket Pikachu things, and Becky does go all-out with the press-on nails.
The PokéWalker goes with Heart Gold and Soul Silver, eh? Does that mean it connects to the games? I think at least one version of Pocket Pikachu connected to original Gold and Silver through the IR port to transfer Mystery Gifts, so I imagine the PokéWalker does the same thing. But experience? Does that mean you can transfer Pok?mon back and forth to it? That'd be interesting, or at least cheap. It might get me back on WiiFit. ^_^
Have we speculated on HG/SS getting an Underground? Actually, I somehow remember at least one town getting an underground area with shops and stuff, but nothing on the scale of D/P/P's labyrinth. Other than that, I doubt they'd put one in.

Yeah, it connects. Perhaps they have it set to go on the frequency the DS goes on, for wireless transfers... Who knows? And yeah, I was thinking of digging out the balance board for this. X3
An underground? Perhaps. There are things shown next to Elm's lab that could be air vents, though, I'm thinking they're just lights (there's a fire station near me with similar lights). But yeah, there was a Goldenrod Underground, I suppose that could be expanded upon...

I just read on Serebii.net that Heart Gold and Soul Silver will be bundled with the PokeWalker. That's pretty cool. It'd probably up the price, though. I wonder if it'll be available separately... Or in the US at all, for that matter.

Some of the best news has arrived! After beating the Elite Four in HeartGold and SoulSilver, special legendary Pokémon will appear--Kyogre and Groudon! That's right! In HeartGold will be Kyogre, and SoulSilver has Groudon (a bit backwards). Better yet, if you manage to get both in one game, there's a chance to get Rayquaza! Now, no information on the locations of these titans has been revealed. (Through speculation, though: Groudon at Cinnabar, considering the volcano, and Kyogre at the Seafoam Islands, due to being suitable. Rayquaza...Mt. Silver? Hard to guess.) Another bit of great news is that the movie Arceus seems to unlock an event with Cynthia, Sinnoh's champion. It's not known what yet, but there are three spots, and a speaking entity mentions "picking one life out of three" or something of that sort... A chance to get Dialga, Palkia, or Giratina? Or the lake trio? Perhaps an unrelated trio? Who knows? (One thing going around seems to be Dialga/Palkia/Giratina at level 1, so we'll see!) Seems like all version-mascot legendaries will be coming with HeartGold and SoulSilver! And still somewhat important, new artwork of Elm, Silver, and the female Rocket grunt have been revealed... Silver seems to have been inspired by Commander Mars, no? Hoenn Trio InformationCynthia's RevelationCynthia and ArceusNew ArtworkUPDATENow, more news has come to light. Soon, Jirachi will be given out at Japanese McDonald's. These Jirachi can then be transferred to HeartGold and SoulSilver to unlock a new area to go to. What it is and its function aren't known at the time. Also, the boxart has been revealed. Jirachi InformationBoxart!

I'm betting at least one of those Legendaries will appear at Sprout Tower. It's a highly spiritual place that I'm pretty sure is linked to another Legendary. Either that, or they'll just roam around. It'd be cool if you go to the place Kyogre randomly travelled to and it's raining there.

The entire bit of CoroCoro pages have been revealed! And, a lot more has been revealed! - First off, many will be happy to know that any and all Pokémon can follow you about. You can also talk to them, and find out their status, and find Accessories (clue 1 for contests!). This was sort of expected, after all, overworld sprites of all the Pokémon would be required for the daycare these games have.
- Then, you've got confirmation Kanto will be in the game. The route leading to Kanto is visible, as is Mt. Silver. Of course, super-skeptics will say that maybe you just get the Elite Four part of that, as the terminal leads to that and Mt. Silver... But Game Freak wouldn't tease us like that, and these are remakes... Anyways, the train tracks are visible from Goldenrod, I highly doubt they lead anywhere but Saffron.
- The PokéDex's new design has been revealed. It's a really thin device, two screens, and seems to have no buttons. A screenshot of the 'Dex in-game shows just how reliant on the touch screen it will be. Along with that, almost all interfaces are now used heavily with the touch screen, making things easier. This includes the PC, Pokémon status screen, and bag interface. Also, the Pokémon status screen displays an option to check ribbons--another potential contest hint!
- Pre-orders of HeartGold and SoulSilver will yield figures, like Platinum. At least, in Japan. HeartGold gives you Ho-Oh, SoulSilver gives Lugia, and both will get you Arceus.
- More details on Jirachi have been unveiled. This Jirachi is one celebrating Tanabata, a star festival in Japan (a Jirachi has been given out every year for it, actually, because Jirachi is nearly entirely based on the holiday). However, this particular Tanabata Jirachi unlocks a new area in HeartGold and SoulSilver, as previously stated. It will be distributed at McDonald's and download stations in Japan, no confirmation that it'll be WiFi (I hope so, I have two Japanese games for it!)
Now, speculation mode: - Contests. I think they're in. First off, your following Pokémon appear to give you accessories. Those don't have much of a point without contests, besides the photos. Then, there's the ribbon status screen. That's clearly not needed without contests, just see FireRed and LeafGreen! (Then again, there's ribbons like the Classic Ribbon...) Then, there's a new area to the west of National Park. This looks entirely modern, and has a rather large building. Contest Hall? Perhaps. Also, a new building is shown at the front of Ecruteak. Now, I have a few doubts, but it looks more modern than the rest of the city. Though, that could easily be the dance hall, or a gatehouse just added in.
- The Arceus story and Ilex Forest seem to potentially tie-in with each other. After all, this is where the Pichu event is activated. The results of that are unknown currently. Also, the shrine shown in Ilex Forest is exactly the same as the one in Celestic... perfect reasoning for Cynthia to be there, so, she could be there to activate the event (along with the Gizamimi Pichu?). A huge clue is also both events depicted on the same page, with the shrine given detailed artwork. Considering the Gizamimi Pichu is already tied-in with Arceus, these events may be connected... Completely speculative--perhaps, due to the shrine's ties with Celebi, perhaps you time-travel to do something.

I was certainly excited to hear how all 493 Pok?mon can follow you around on-screen. I just have to wonder how you determine which Pok?mon to roam with you. Is it just the one on top of your list, or do you tag one on your team? Can it be turned on and off? Can large Pok?mon follow you into buildings? What happens when you get on the bicycle? Or can you ride Pok?mon instead?
I haven't thought much about the contests, although I have wondered if they'd return. With hints like those, I see no reason to doubt they would. I wonder if the contests will be spread among various towns or just all in one town. I think Fire Red and Leaf Green had them in one town, so Heart Gold and Soul Silver may be the same, at least in Kanto. I'm still wondering about that Time Machine, though...

I will admit: this looks like the old game I fell in love with, but looks like an awesome new experience for me. I'm surprised that they can take the old Silver and Gold games and put in these new elements that I've wanted for a long time (namely, in-game Pok?mon following).
Oh, and I can finally get Ho-Oh.
