Jessica moved close to the battle, took out her laptop, sat down and started recording it. Alison, Chad, and Cairo had all gone off to do their respective activities. The battle ended with an impressive win for a person with a Poliwrath. "Hmmm... Very interesting battle." Jessica commented, standing up. She put away her laptop, and took out a glass case, with a sea-blue egg in it. She stood next to the edge of the ferry, and the egg glowed a bright white. "OH SNAP!!!" Jessica yelled, falling backwards at the same time her hold on the egg case was relinquished. It fell to the open sea, still glowing. Jessica stood up, noticing the error. "NOO!!!" With a sudden brighter flash, the glow was gone. Jessica nearly dropped to her knees, then she saw it. A young, slightly small Mantyke was jumping from the water. "Ahhh..." Jessica sighed, heavy with relief.

Chad stood up from the bench he had been sitting at unable to take Cairo and Alison's couple banter any longer. An earsplitting scream filled the air and a splash followed shortly after. Wondering someone had fallen off Chad rushed over to the source of the noise. Jessica was smiling and looking over the edge of the boat. "Are you alright, did someone fall off?" Chad asked rushing to look over the edge with her. As far as he could tell no one was drowning and the only thing in the water was a Mantyke swimming just below the surface. "It's my egg. It hatched." Jessica said, unable to take her eyes off the small Pok?mon in the water.

((OCC: I take it we're still on the boat.))
Alison sat against the side on the boat, her head against it, knees near her chest with her hands across her knees. She was thinking of her sister who she hoped to see again and of her parents who she hadn't seen since she left the Hoenn soccer team. She felt she should go see them again, but she didn't want to tell her friends since Sarah had just gone. She hoped that when she told them, that Cairo would come with her, but she somehow doubted that. With the soft sea breeze against her face, she let Vulpix out of her pokeball to sit and enjoy the day with her.

Jessica just couldn't take her eyes off of the newly hatched Mantyke. She eventually got around to examining it with her laptop, and it was determined male. "Hmm.." Jessica said in a pleased tone, "I think Justin is a proper name for him. Somehow, it just fits." Jessica soon noticed a speck of land, far off, and getting farther every second. Something about it was odd. Then, out of the corner of Jessica's eye, she could've sworn she saw a magnificent rainbow at the peak of this land. "A trick of the eye, or an odd reflection of the water." Jessica told herself. Then the destination came into view. Four Island, or Floe Island as some like to call it. "We'll be making land on Four Island within 30 minutes. Thank you for travelling with us!" An intercom blared from two megaphones, of which were high up on a wooden post. "I suppose this means I must put Justin into a PokeBall." Jessica said, pulling out one. She tossed it toward the young Mantyke, and without struggle, or even wiggling, the ball came back to her. Jessica scanned the area, and made note of everyone's location. She decided to wait a bit as to not push the others too much, but it's hard to hold in Jessica's level of anxiety.
OOC: Navel Rock, that's what Jessica saw. It is near Floe Island.

What seemed like 5 minutes was evidently 30, and before they knew it, the trainers had landed at Four Island, securely. "Guess this means..." Cairo said softly to himself, and to his partner, Marowak, standing next to him, arms outstreched and holding onto the bars holding up the railing as it peered out to the sea. Marowak looked to him and nodded before Cairo and his Pok?mon made their way slowly to the center of the ship, where Chad stood, and Jessica and Alison quickly arrived.
"Hey" Cairo said, as the rest of them did the same. "Let's go" Chad said as the four trainers took to the wooden ramp, with small planks streching across it, about every five feet so that one could maintain balance more easily. One by one, all of their feet touched ground, Cairo streched his arms upward before saying something to Marowak, that went relatively unheard. He outstreched an arm, brandishing a Pokeball, and in a flash of red, recalled his partner. "Gotta get you to a Pok?mon center, soon" Cairo said as he raised the ball close to his face, before decreasing its size, returning it to his side, and looking to his friends.

Chad was happy to be back on solid ground again. He wasted no time and immediatly turned to the others. "So, i've been meaning to check out the ice fall cave for some time now and i think it's pretty close. Wanna go check it out?"

"If you need to get to the Pok?mon center, then lets go." Alison said as she walked over to Cairo and took his hand. They walked over to the Pok?mon center and entered. "Wow, I thought it'd be more crowded." She said as they walked into the full, but not crowded Pok?mon center.

Their steps sounded and signified their approach of the counter before Joy emerged from the backroom, fixing her cap, adorned with the appropriate red cross. "Welcome to the Four Island Pok?mon Center, may I be of assistance?" Joy began pleasantly. "Uh, yeah, could you please take heal my Marowak?" Cairo asked before extending an expanded ball and recalling his Pok?mon in a flash of red, then outstreching his arm to a Joy who replied, "No problem" promptly. She turned and set Marowak's Pokeball firmly in a small depression in a row of six.
"Should we get rooms now?" Cairo inquired, turning to his friends.

"Yeah." Chad said in response to Cairo query. Joy looked guilty as they walked over to her. "I'm assuming you four need rooms?" She asked. They nodded. "Well, we only have a few left so they may be a bit pricey..." Displeased sighs filled the air and they payed the enhanced price and decided to go up to their rooms. "Wow!" Chad heard Alison shout as she entered her room which was the closest to the staircase. "Woah." Cairo said entering his. Chad was wondering why until he came to his room and opened the door. He smiled speechlessly and looked around at the luxurious room. The bed was comfortable looking and large enough to fit two Arcanines. The bathroom had its own jacuzzi type bathtub and Chad almost didn't want to leave until he remembered the Ice Fall caves. He met the others out in the hallway and they set off towards the Ice caves.

The trainers made their way through two large electronic, translucent doors and traversed a a great deal of land, map guiding them to the Ice Caves. "Shouldn't be too much longer" Chad said before cawing began to sound loudly. The trainers looked to the sky, apparently where the sound was eminating from, where several dozens of silhouettes loomed, and eventually came closer to them, turning from shadow to Murkrow. "CAW!" the cried out as they violently flapped and passed by the trainers, barely acknowledging their presence, striking them left and right. "Ow" "Ack" "God!". Exclamations sounded from the trainers until, at long last, the birds passed and a frightening looking figure stood before them upon opening their eyes. "Wah!" The trainers exclaimed before taking a few, respective, steps backward and taking on awkward positions and looks. "Don't be alarmed" the woman said in a heinous, decrepit sounding tone. She was garbed as a witch, long robes and a hat covered a horrifying figure, and allowed for looking to a mangled face of warts and pallid, flaky skin. "Take heed before progressing" She began in a raspy voice, "The Ice Caves are haunted, dangers loom thick, left and right havoc is wrought by distraught spirits of deceased Pok?mon and their trainers...Be wary!" she concluded before raising her arms, and after a moment exploding into a cloud of dust. The trainers stood motionless, mouths agate, and eyes wide before the dust cleared and revealed a small flyer.
Cairo eventually broke the silence and appraoched it. "Hmm" he said as he grabbed it and raised it to his face, "Floe's annual costume ball" he began before scanning it and relaying its information to his friends, "It says that tomorrow night, if you go to the ball dressed as a Pok?mon, you could win some sort of prize" he concluded before looking to his friends.

"Alright!" Chad yelled in an excited tone. "That'll give me a chance to wear this!" He said grabbing a Spinda costume from inside his backpack. No one said anything for a few minutes until finally Cairo burst into laughter and said, "What is that?" Chad looked offended. "It's my costume, it's Spinda. I bought it in Sinnoh when we were gonna go to that costume ball but I never went. Now I can finally wear it!" Chad stuffed it back into his bag and began walking back in the direction of the Ice Caves. "I think he may be a bit TOO excited..." Alison whispered to Cairo before rushing to catch up with Chad who was farther ahead. After about 15 minutes after their encounter with the strange exploding woman the group finally found the entrance to the Ice Caves. "Cool." Chad said noticing icicles resembling stalactites hanging from the ceiling of the cave. "Let's go on ahead, Alakazam!" Chad said releasing the Psychic Pok?mon and dodging the blue flames that accompanied its release. Alakazam ran with Chad through the caves, every now and then levitating Chad in the air with a harmless pyschic attack. Before he knew it Chad was lost. "Alakazam, where are we?" He asked making his way down a narrow passage. Suddenly he heard a noise, almost rythmic. "What is that?" He asked Alakazam who said nothing. Rounding a corner he found the source of the noise. Several Snorunts were marching in a line and shouting "Sno!" everytime they moved ahead. "Wow." Chad said avoiding the ice pokémon's gaze. "Let's follow them." He whispered to Alakazam. They joined the end of the line and began to march with them. The line stopped and one by one the Snorunts slid down what appeared to be a slide made of ice. When the last Snorunt jumped down Chad stood up to the slide. It appeared to stretch for miles and at one point went through a pitch black tunnel. "Should i?" He asked Alakazam who responded by pushing Chad telekinetically. "Ahhh!" Chad said spiraling headfirst down the slide, his stomach was freezing from the cold ice only a shirt's thickness away. The tunnel came up and Chad zoomed through it in a matter of seconds. At one point the ice became thinner and Chad could see right through it, he noticed Cairo and the others and pounded on the ice as he raced by. "Woohoo!" Chad shouted listening to his voice echo throughout the whole cave. He began to slow down and eventually stopped completely. Turning to his right he noticed something that caught his eye, the same group of Snorunt on a big empty patch of ice doing a Pok?mon version of ice skating. Chad hurried over to join them, telepathically telling Alakazam to teleport near him.

"Gengar!" Cairo called as he slid down a slight slope. He tossed a Pokeball to the air, and the white light that spilled from its confines landed on a level below Cairo on his spiraling slope of ice. "Gen!" the Pok?mon cried out in effervescence as it writhed about, happily sliding down the ice spiral. Cairo caught himself on the slide's edge for a moment, and after catching Gengar's Pokeball in his hand, he jumped down to the level below to try and intercept his Pok?mon playfully. Gengar leapt from his Position and hovered in the air, making faces at Cairo, who fell hard on his chest, but despite slight pain, laughed as he slid down the ice structure, now followed by Gengar, seated behind him waving its arms in the air.
The two laughed all the way until the end of the slide, where Cairo was thrown from it and straight into an onlooking Spheal. "Sphheeeeall" it said with a lisp as Cairo bounced from its cushioned body, and from there to the icy floor with a thud. "Ow" he said for a moment before Gengar landed atop him in a similar manner. They looked to one another in slight pain, then to Spheal before they all began to laugh heartily.

Jessica reached behind her back for her laptop to record the random Ice types in the area. However, noticing everyone else's enjoyment of just being there made her arm freeze midway there, and she pulled it back to her side. "Why hog all of the fun? Everyone, come on out!" Jessica said, tossing her six glass-coated Pok?Balls. This caused several random special effects to fly all around Jessica and her newly released Pok?mon. Each of Jessica's Pok?mon, and herself, found something different to do. Jessica finally did pull out her laptop, only for ROM to enjoy. Jessica then went to slide on some ice slopes. Amanda the Chatot flew around, and landed next to a few Spheal and imitated their voices. Ariana took to flying into dark corners, then spooking anything unlucky enough to walk by. Fleur simply found a corner, and rested. Cutler, being in a habitat well suited for him, trained himself against the wild Pok?mon. Justin slid all over the ice in any which-way, until he found a small pool of water. He dived directly into it, and would occasionally resurface with a jump. Jessica, still sliding on slopes, noticed a group of Spheal close by. She dashed for them, but didn't take into account the icy surface she was standing on, and slipped in a comical array of wild movements.

Alison had followed them the whole way. She had vulpix out and in her arms. She was stroking her Pok?mon as Cairo collided with a spheal. With a soft laugh, Alison caught up with her friends as Jessica started flailing her arms to keep balance. "How much farther?" She asked all three. Her mind kept going back to Hoenn. Pictures of her family, of her soccer team, of her friends kept rushing back to her. She knew she had to tell them, but now wasn't the place. They were having too much fun. Instead she pulled out the locket her father gave her. She opened it and stashed the key in her pocket as it slid out. In the locket were two pictures. The one on the left was one of her family with her father and mother in the back, Aj and herself in front of them and then her little brother in the very front. The other was a picture of the Hoenn soccer team she was once on and hoped to join once more after her adventures bored her to tears. In the picture, Alison was located in the very front of the team holding a large trophy and with several, large gold medals around her neck with the rest of the team and coaches around her. She smiled at the pictures before she quickly put the key back in the locket and stashed the locket before the others saw.

Chad had no idea where he was but he didn't mind. The giant patch of ice looked almost like a ballroom and Chad immediately began to slide on it with the Snorunts. Alakazam appeared near him shortly after Chad sent his message telepathically. After playing a few games on the ice and just skating around the Snorunts began to leave and soon it was just Alakazam and Chad. "Wanna go find the others?" Chad asked Alakazam. Alakazam walked over to Chad and grabbed his arm. Chad was confused at first until he realized Alakazam planned on teleporting to his friends. Chad braced himself and closed his eyes. A weird feeling came over him but went away quickly and Chad opened his eyes to see his friends playing in the cave. He walked over and began talking with them for a while and he told them all about where he had gone.
