It was Fallon's turn and she found herself surprisingly not nervous. Her mind was filled with what Slowking had said to her and she wasn't all that prepared for the battle she was about to have. Her opponent, a young girl that looked rather nervous, through her PokeBall and Fallon saw a cute Bibarel appear on stage. "Part water." Fallon thought, grabbing Chikorita's PokeBall from her belt. She knew with the type advantage on her side the match would be a piece of cake. Not to mention she was older, less nervous and not using a Bibarel.
"Chikorita!" Fallon called out, voice hoarse from a while of not talking. She didn't care. Chikorita appeared in a dazzling display of rainbow feathers, unlike the Bibarel which had taken form with no seals to create effects. "Magical Leaf!" The attack struck and Bibarel took massive damage. The girl tried to order a counter attack but Fallon didn't let her. "Flip and use Solar Beam!" The flip was just for some extra points, which were needed in a contest battle. Chikorita obeyed, leaf glowing as she spun in the air before firing a huge beam of energy at Bibarel, succesfully KOing it and sending Fallon's opponent away in tears. A few boos could be heard from the crowd who didn't like Fallon's quiet behavior and somewhat cruel way of dealing with a younger child. Fallon didn't care and simply returned Chikorita before walking off stage.

Sami had a slight boost in confidence once she saw how easy Fallon's win was. She didn't exactly agree with her method, but it worked. After a couple other battles, it came to be Sami's turn. She was up against a barely teenaged boy. He had used a Castform for his appeal, so Sami figured something like it would be his battle Pokémon. ... Dear lord was she wrong. They had both arrived on stage, and after two releases of Pokémon and their various Seals, a Mamoswine stood opposed to Sami's Salamence. She closed her eyes, and sweatdropped, but continued on nonetheless. "Kaze, Fire Fang!" Sami ordered. Kaze growled, which turned to a roar, as it flew at a high speed towards Mamoswine. The boy smirked, almost as if he hadn't expected things to go so well. "Ice Fang." He said. Salamence's mouth was flaming already, and as it approached Mamoswine, the opponent Pokémon gave its head a violent thrash upwards. Its tusk slammed right into Kaze, who was sent back. This kid must've seen Fallon's performance, as right away he commanded another move. "Take Down!" He called. Mamoswine began charging. Kaze saw this, and tried to get up. However, just as all four legs straightened up, Mamoswine smacked into Salamence again. And that was all it took to knock it out. "Great..." Sami whispered, and returned her Pokémon. The boy expressed joy, but not in an overly boastful manner. The two went to the back room. "You would've done fine. Mamoswine just has had some special training." He said, nodding at Sami. "Oh, heh, thanks." She said.

Dani was nervous now. Very nervous. Lengthy processes ensued, battle after battle. Where Dani had used Beedrill, others had used everything from Dragonite, to Metapod. Beads of sweat trickled down here forehead, but eventually, pouding Pok?Balls, flashing lights, anticipant crowds, and strict judges resulted in Dani falling to her knees as she was assured a spot in the finals. Dani assumed the one downfall to the situation would be her mandatory battle against one of her best friends, being Fallon, although, all in all, Dani was moreover excited. She was too close now to lose her momentum; she had to be Grand Festival bound, she'd tell herself.
Her blue, diagonally cut dress fluttered slightly as she strode her way through a hallway, and onto an immense, familiar stage, albeit a sustained air of anxiety for the female trainer. "Let's do this" she whispered to herself as spotlights beamed down, crowds boomed, and she tilted her head downward and closed her eyes, awaiting further call.
She could hear the digital sounds of the score bars appearing on the giant, overhead LCD screen. She was prepared down to the last of the countdown seconds, and before she knew it, Ivysaur was before her, poised for battle.

Fallon, breathing deeply, looked to Dani who was ready for battle. She didn't really WANT to battle a friend, but there were things in life you had to do whether or not you wanted to. "Dragonair." Fallon said to herself, selecting a PokeBall. She was tired, and not really in the mood for anything too showy, so she removed the seal on her PokeBall, resulting in gasps from the judges. In plain white light Dragonair appeared. The Pok?mon could sense Fallon wasn't at her happiest and her mood changed according to her trainer's. Fallon sighed. "Here we go." She whispered to her Pok?mon. She wasn't exactly ready but she wanted to get this over with. Dani was obviously allowing Fallon to make the first move, as she hadn't commanded anything to Ivysaur yet.
"Dragon Rage." Fallon said calmly. It wasn't the strongest attack, but it certainly looked beautiful and that was what really mattered in a contest battle. Dragonair whipped her head back, blue steam seeping out from her mouth and nose as she prepared the attack. With a whip of her long, serpentine body Dragonair sent a gorgeous firey blue substance towards Ivysaur. Dani looked on with a slight smile on her face.
