[Continued from "Route 102 - Oldale to Petalburg" in the Hoenn Region.]
Chrysanthemum "Crisis" Isaaks could feel herself flying through space. After having passed through a strange magic sigil, she was pretty sure she could be anywhere by now. Unfortunately, everything was dark except for green-glowing streaks of light flying past her, so there was no telling where she was. She might not even be in the universe as she knew it.
Then, she saw it. Sort of. She could see a black shape against the glowing streaks flying in from the horizon. It almost looked like a child. The only distinguishable feature she could make out were two glowing, green eyes.
"And now your body will be mine to do as I please with," a child-like voice said cheerily. She could see it start to reach towards her.
Suddenly, Banshee the Gardevoir appeared before her. Crisis was surprised, as she hadn't seen her since flying through the portal, but the shape seemed even more surprised. Banshee had her arms out, standing in the shape's way.
"There's no way you could've teleported here," the voice said. The shape's eye narrowed. Cheefully laughing, the voice continued, "It doesn't matter. I'll just have to remove both your souls at once now."
"This is one crazy place, so I'm betting on some crazy effects," Crisis said. "Banshee, use Secret Power!"
"No, stop!" the voice called out.
The streaks of light suddenly stopped. Then they turned and started flying in all directions. All sense of movement stopped and the shape put up its guard.
"You can't do this!" the voice cried. "You've no idea what you've done! Literally! There's no way you would've done this on purpose!"
Suddenly, one the streaks passed through Banshee and Crisis. They both fell over in pain, eyes shut tightly. When they opened their eyes, the pain was still there, but now they were on the roof of someones house.
"Where..." Crisis started, cringing as she sat up. "Where are we?"
Banshee looked down and saw a nearby sign. It read, "Peirce Residence."

A Mudkip bounded up to Banshee and her Trainer.
"Mudkip!"
Then, a voice called from below.
"Mudkip! Where are you? We need to get going!"
Mudkip bounded to the edge of the roof and looked down at the brunette below.
"Mudkip mud!"
The young woman looked up. "Mudkip! How did you get up there!? ...Oh, nevermind. Just hang on and don't move!"
She ran back inside the house, and came back out with a ladder. This, she climbed to get to the roof, and Mudkip bounded into her arms. "Thank goodness! How did you..."
Then, she noticed the Trainer and Gardevoir on the roof, as well. "Um... hello..." Noting the Psychic Pok?mon, she said, "Teleport gone wrong?"

Crisis and Banshee were surprised to see a Mudkip on the roof with them. But before the could say anything, its trainer had called to it. They watched as the ladder soon appeared and a brunette trainer soon after.
"Yeah, something like that," Crisis said as she stood up, cringing with her hand on her stomach. Banshee leapt up to help her, only to experience the same pain. "Your house wouldn't happen to be a nexus of paranormal and/or extra dimensional activity, would it?"

((Eh, that style of Poke-speak isn't working for me. I'll just switch back to my usual style.))
Cherry laughed. "Not that I know of. Why, you think it was something like that that messed up your teleport? Coulda been another Psychic Pok?mon."
<You're hurt?> said Mudkip, reaching out a small paw to prod Banshee. <What happened?>
"Mudkip, it's not polite to poke people," said Cherry. "Especially a Pok?mon that looks much stronger than you." Noticing Crisis's pain, she said, "Oh, are you hurt? You're free to rest here if you need to. My name's Cherry." She extended her hand.

Banshee looked down at Mudkip when it prodded her. She looked at her hand as she tilted it away from where she was clutching her chest. There didn't appear to be any damage. Not even a bruise. She rubbed her, for lack of a better word, fingers together as if she thought something was on them. Crisis noticed this and tugged on her collar so she could look at the analogous, and apparently non-existent, wound on her belly.
"I think I'm okay," Crisis replied to Cherry's question. "I just... could've sworn something went through us before we got here. The pain's going away kinda but I almost thought I was bleeding for a moment."
"<Me too,>" Banshee confirmed. "<It's like... I dunno... I didn't think I was going to die or anything, but I thought something tore right through me.>"
"Hey, crazy question," Crisis said. "Do you know where we are? We were on Route 102 before... before whatever the heck just happened to us happened."

"You're in Twin Leaf, Sinnoh."
<And on a roof where they shouldn't be,> said Mudkip, looking over his shoulder at his Trainer as if he expected her to understand.
Cherry, instead, twisted around to sit on the roof. "So... all the way from Hoenn, huh? Quite a trip. What do you mean by 'something going through you', though?"

"Johto, actually," Crisis replied a she sat down next to Cherry. "And the rest is a kinda hard to explain. It all happened pretty fast. One moment me and Banshee are messing around on the road, and the next thing I know we're flying through a light-speed effect with some demon-child-thing that wants to eat our souls and take our bodies. We fight him off, everything goes ape-spit, one of the light-speed bits goes through us, and when I open my eyes we're right up here."
"<I'm just glad we're alright,>" Banshee said, settling down between Cherry and Crisis, notably closer to the latter. "<I hope we're not pregnant now or anything.>"

Mudkip bounded to the other side of the roof to look towards Lake Verity, apparently bored with the conversation.
Cherry, however, was listening raptly. "...Wow, strange." She pondered what to do for a little while. What exactly do you do with strangers popping up on your roof?
"Well, it's obvious you were attacked, by what, though, is in question. Maybe if you travel in numbers, it'll be less likely to happen again?"
<We could take them with us,> noted Mudkip, though, naturally, he wasn't understood.

Crisis shook her head. "I had friends with me when I was abducted. This demon or whatever can stop time or something. We probably just blinked out of existence to them or something. Aw, man, I should call them." She got out her Pok?Gear and switched to the phone function. Her expression sunk. "I never got their numbers..."
"Garde, gardevoir," Banshee said reassuringly as she put an arm around her trainer's shoulders.
"Think you can teleport us back?" Crisis asked.
"Garde?" Banshee noted. She seemed to ponder this for a moment, then shook her head. "Voir."
"Yeah, it's probably too far," Crisis admitted. "But I bet I could call the Oldale Pok?mon Center from the one here and leave a message. Can you take me there, uh... What was your name again?"

"Cherry," she replied. "And sure. I can walk with you to the Pok?mon Center in Sandgem. ...I don't think I got your name, either. "

"Chrysanthemum Isaaks," Crisis said. "But everyone calls me Crisis." She peered over the edge of the roof to the ground below. "What kinda bushes you got there?"
"Garde..." Banshee warned. She knew her trainer all too well.
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing," Crisis replied reassuringly, scooting a little closer to the edge.

"Supposed to be a Pecha tree, but I forgot to tie it up and it grew sideways instead of up. Anyway, let's get you down from here."
She climbed onto the ladder, and Mudkip leapt onto her back, clinging to her shoulders with his tiny paws. She leaned forward, and the ladder began to tilt...
A smile creased her face and a wild glint came into her eyes as she rode the ladder towards the ground. She leapt off at the last second, the ladder crashing to the ground behind her. Mudkip let go and landed neatly on the ground as she turned and set the ladder up against the roof again.
"Hah...that's too much fun," she said to herself as she stepped back to wait for Crisis to descend the ladder.
((And here's where it gets somewhat interesting! ^_^))

Crisis' eyes lit up when she saw Cherry ride the ladder off the roof. "Sweet. I shoulda thought of that. And here I was just going to jump off the roof."
Crisis stood up and climbed her up on the roof. Banshee took note of it with some concern and followed her up. Crisis took out her skateboard and put it on the roof, holding it in place with her foot as she strapped her helmet on.
"Garde, gardevoir!" Banshee protested.
"Don't worry, I'm wearing my helmet," Crisis said nonchalantly. She pushed forward with her foot, skating down the roof and onto the ladder. The rear wheels caught the top rung, jarring the ladder from its resting spot and causing it to gracefully arch forward. Crisis balanced herself, remaining upright on her board most of the way down.
With somewhere around forty-five degrees left to go, Crisis tilted foward, causing the back of her board to tip up and unhook itself from the ladder. The centripetal force threw her forward, sending her flying past the arch of the ladder, although still heading towards the ground just as quickly. She was also now leaning too far forward to land on her feet, so she continued spinning with her momentum to land on her shoulders on the sidewalk and roll out into the street.
It may have been mere oversight or just dumb luck that sent her tumbling into the path of an on-coming delivery truck, but nonetheless it was coming to a screeching halt with its horns blaring. Unfortunately, it was already moving far too fast for its breaks to halt the momentum carrying to Crisis' doom. But Crisis had a guardian, or Gardevoir rather, angel looking out for her, and Banshee teleported over to her and teleported back to Cherry's side with barely a fraction of a second to spare.
"Dude," Crisis laughed, hopping up to retrieve her skateboard. "Aw, man. It's always the trucks that you don't see that get ya, you know?" She picked up and trotted back to Banshee. "Maybe I shoulda named you Bungie, 'cause you always get that last minute save."
"Garde," Banshee admonished.
"Okay, usually," Crisis said, "But you're being way too modest."

"Whoa!" Cherry exclaimed as Crisis mimicked her ladder trick, but with a massive twist... One that left her in the middle of a street with a delivery truck speeding towards her!
<I can't watch!> Mudkip exclaimed, falling prone with his front paws over his head.
Cherry gasped, starting into a run that would be a vain attempt to rescue the younger thrill-seeker, but Banshee beat her to it, teleporting her Trainer to safety.
"Wow. That was close..." Cherry said, reason for once getting the better of her. Then it was gone, and a grin spread across her face. "That was totally awesome!"
<Ugh...> Mudkip sighed, getting to his feet and shaking his head. He looked up at Banshee. <How do you deal with her every day? It's starting to sound like I need a few pointers.>
"Well, um..." Cherry looked around. "Sandgem's...that way." Turning to Crisis and Banshee, she added, "Shall we?"

"<I've found there's no use in worrying about what she might do,>" Banshee replied. "<It distracts from what she is doing.>"
"Yes, let's," Crisis said with mock refinement. She looked over to Banshee, and the two of them linked arms and jaunted off in the general direction of Sandgem Town.
