((OOC: Haha, worst battle ever)) "Thank you Miss Matthews" Cairo said, holding her tightly. He looked into her eyes and leaned in, placing his forehead against hers, smiling and conversing lightly. "Wha.." Noland looked questionably as he recalled his Pok?mon in a flash of red light. "That was...much quicker than expected..." Noland said unassumingly, heard by Chad. "Hah, perhaps were better than you expected eh?" Chad inquired rheotorically. "Hmm" Noland smiled as the referee approahced with two frontier symbols. "Here you are...and umm..give one to your friend there too.." Noland said as he laughed looking to the love-struck trainer across the room. "Ha, will do" Chad said, before walking to Cairo. Noland walked to Articuno and began tending to it with potions, foods, etc.. before talking to it. "Hey, you two!"Noland yelled across the room, "Very nice, quick, methodical work..but don't let it go to your heads..the frontier is tough.."

"Where to now?" Alison asked as she held Cairo's hand and returned her two Pok?mon. "We should probably find a place to stay for the night, incase it storms tonight again. I don't think our shelter can handle another night of rain."

"Yeah" Cairo said laughing as Mawile followed after him happily. They left the arena, looking back to the legendary Pok?mon they had just defeated as they exited through the doors. The large steel doors let out a thunderous sound before they sealed. "Perhaps we should find a Pok?mon center?" Cairo inquired.

"That'll be good." Alison said as she led Cairo and Chad to the nearest Pok?Center. They finally entered the center. "Can we have three rooms please." "I only have two more rooms, but you all can have them." Nurse Joy said as she handed Alison two keys. "So, how are we going to divide this?" Alison asked Cairo and Chad.

Cairo blushed before he announced, "No idea...I'll sleep in the lobby if you guys would like..."Cairo looked to the windows surrounding the center. It seemed incredibly odd that the day's entirety had been taken up by his battle with Noland. "No, Cairo, please" Chad began, "you two take it, I don't want to share a bed with Cairo, and I think it might be slightly awkward with Alison" The three trainers laughed before consenting to that arrangement and starting toward the stairs. The lights dimmed as the progressed toward the stairs, they looked back to see a friendly nurse Joy issuing a goodbye to the three trainers. "Oh, thanks" Cairo said, "Night" they then said simaeltaneously before ascending the large staircase, teeming with colorful symbolism along the walls guiding the stairs upward.

"Well, I guess I'll see you two in the morning Alison said. "Night." She added before she walked over to Cairo and hugged him. She then kissed him lightly on the lips before entering in her room. She waved goodnight to the two of them before shutting the door behind her. She jumped in the shower quickly and dried her hair afterward. Then she changed into a pair of shorts, a white spagetti-strap shirt and a pair of fuzzy slippers. She then let Pichu and Cubone out of their Pok?Balls and soon fell asleep, each Pok?mon by her side.

Chad walked into his room, Eevee on his shoulder, and made his way towards an uncomfortable looking bed. An annoying squeeking noise emitted from the obviously old bed as Chad sat down. He sighed, it was going to be a long night. At least he didn't have to share a bed with anyone, unless Eevee decided to spend the night outside of her pokeball. As he reached into his bag he noticed his golden frontier symbol and smiled. Although gyms weren't something he did anymore he still enjoyed a good battle with a cool prize. Chad took his toothbrush from his bag and began looking for some toothpaste. An empty tube sat at the bottom. "Great." He said placing Eevee down as he prepared to leave the room. Maybe Alison or Cairo could spare some. Halfway down the hall he realized he had no idea which room they were in. Figuring someone had to be kind enough to spare some toothpaste, he knocked on a random door. After a few seconds the door slowly opened. A familiar black headed girl stood before him in pajamas looking just as surprised as he was. "Sarah?" Chad asked although he knew who it was. Sarah smiled wider than Chad had ever seen her smile. At a loss of words Chad hugged Sarah tightly and kissed her softly on the lips. "Chad, what are you doing here?" She asked suddenly. "Here, come in." She added nodding towards the room. Sarah listened intently as he filled her in on all that had happened since she left. "So this Lily girl," Sarah said smiling after Chad finished. "Tell me more about her." Smiling back he explained how he had liked her but nothing had happened. Looking to the clock, Chad realised they had been talking for a long time. Alison and Cairo would want to get up early the next morning and they might not wait for Chad. "You're welcome to travel with us again." Chad told Sarah as he got up to leave. "I'll think about it, night." She said kissing him as he left. Hardly able to contain his joy, Chad entered his room. Eevee was resting on his pillow and he returned her to her pokeball. He lay down and tryed to sleep, almost unable to as everytime Sarah popped into his head, which was quite often, his eyes flew open and he smiled. Eventually, he drifted off into sleep ready to wake up early the next morning.

"Nigh-" Cairo began as a door was slammed in his face by Alison. "Okay...I'm confused...alright I'm sleeping with Ch-" he said as he turned around, only to have another door slammed before him. The slam sounded, signifying how Cairo would go sleepless, or at least quarterless tonight. "Awesome.." he said before turning around and descending a dark staircase. A light buzz, most likely the heating, loomed in the lobby. The room was large, warm, comforting, and above all, empty. Darkness loomed but ambiant starlight made a lengthy, cushioned seat beneath a large window seem undoubtedly inviting. "Ahh" he sighed as he sprawled himself across the long, but hardly wide cushion. His shoes were on the ground, laying beside a dormant Pokebelt. Cairo looked to the window, and the almost blue light shone through accentuating colors in a manner similar to that of a blacklight, less extreme, however. He sighed as thoughts raced his mind, everything from concern to effervescence ran its course until finally Cairo's thoughts ceased all together. He had fallen asleep in what was feasibly the most comforting environment he had ever been in, despite it being a small, cushioned bench. The only motion or sound heard in the placid lobby would go on to be Cairo's clenched hand unintentionally releasing a small golden symbol as his arm fell to the side of the bench while he slept.

Alison awoke bright and early that morning. She felt refreshed and ready to go. She jumped in the shower real quick and then dried her hair. She brushed her hair and teeth and then threw on her clothes for the day. Soon Pichu and Cubone were up. "Lets get moving!" She said as she returned the two Pok?mon and picked up her bag. It was still quite early so nobody was in the lobby, save Cairo. Alison walked over and saw that Cairo had dropped his frontier badge to the ground. She picked him and then shook him lightly to wake him up.

Chad was awakened by a soft knocking at the door. Thinking it was his imagination, he rolled back over and tried to go back to sleep. "Chad," a familiar voice said. "It's Sarah, just reminding you that you have to get up early." Chad smiled as he remembered he had been reunited with Sarah just a few hours ago. "Alright, I'm up." He called jumping out of bed. After taking a quick shower and getting dressed he grabbed his belongings and tidied up the room a little before leaving through the door. "Hey." Sarah said, noticing Chad. Chad jumped a little, not expecting Sarah to still be there. "Oh, hey." He said smiling. "Were you waiting here the whole time?" Blushing, Sarah admitted, "Yes.." Eager to do something, Chad said, "Let's go, wait, have you decided to travel with us?" Sarah, paused and said. "Yes, well, I don't know. Maybe for a little while." Smiling even wider, Chad took Sarah's hand and the two walked downstairs.

"Huh.." Cairo said as he blinked repeatedly to adjust his eyes apropriately. "Oh, wow, morning Alison" he stated as the blurry contrast in his eyes was finally fleeting. He sat there for a moment, rubbing the back of his head before he looked to Alison, who's extended hand bore a golden Knowledge symbol. "Hehe" Cairo said as he closed his eyes and grinned facetiously. "Thank you miss matthews" he said before taking the symbolistic prize back and placing it in his pocket. "How'd you sleep?" he said as he ascended to his feet, where he began streching slightly. As Alison began, Cairo placed his arms around her waist and connected his hands at the small of her back, at which point two familiar faces emerged from an illuminated stairwell.

As Alison said she slept well, Cairo stood and wrapped his arms around her waist. She gently laid her head on his chest and sighed. About that time, two figures appeared from the stairs, hand in hand. "Good morning Chad." Alison said lifting her head. "Who's your friend?" She inquired, trying not to sound nosey.

Sarah's face turned red and she looked away from Alison. 'Still as shy as ever.' Chad thought to himself. "This is Sarah, My..." Chad paused and looked away, blushing almost as much as Sarah. "Uh, Sarah this is Alison." Sarah managed to smile a little at Alison before looking back towards the ground. "And of course, you know Cairo." Chad said pointing at Cairo who seemed rather shocked to see Sarah. "Hey, Sarah..." Cairo said in a confused tone. "I-I'm only gonna b-be here for a little while..." Sarah said nervously, glancing at Alison every now and then before blushing and turning back to the ground. "You can travel with us as long as you want." Chad said kindly. "I'm sure no one would mind."

"Be glad to have you with us again" Cairo began before turning away for a moment, and once again revealing, and glancing to his knowledge symbol. Notions raced and accumulated before he turned back to his friends and announced, "That is if the rest of you will be following me". Alison and Chad looked to him, befuddled before he furthered his plans. "I'm going to go for Master of the Battle Frontier" Cairo informed the group of trainers, as he picked up his Pokebelt and fastened it securely. "I was hoping today to try to make it to Two Island, but again, you guys don't need to follow me around if its not in the cards right now" he assured them as a small boy approached them. "Hi!" the boy said, enthused. "You're Cairo Whitter right?" the gauche boy inquired. "Umm...I am, how'd you know that?" "I saw you compete in last year's Hoenn league, I'm from Lavaridge!" he said, "Umm..Cairo, would you do me the honor of having a battle with me?!" the boy asked.
"I..." Cairo paused for a moment in thought, he couldn't have been more than a few months into Pok?mon training, but his hubris seemed to speak for him. Cairo issued a formal approbation, before the overjoyed boy sprinted to the outside of the Pok?mon center. He jogged through a small field, where he took to the far side and awaited Cairo. "Who are you going to use?" Chad asked questionably, "I was thinking...either Beautifly or Marowak, because they would both understand blowing the battle.." He looked to Chad once more as he shook his head and was met by screeching from across the field, "Hurry, up!" The boy demanded. The three trainers ran closer and finally arrived at ample distance for the battle. "I'll referee" Chad said as he jogged to the sidelines. A soft zephyr caressed Cairo as he selected a Pokeball, his eyes followed the softly rustling grass until the boy came into his sights. "Alright then, both sides have selected a Pok?mon" Chad began, "Left side ready?" Chad asked formally to the boy who nodded. "And right?" Chad asked with an outstretched arm. "Yeah" Cairo said before Chad announced that the battle had commenced. "Marowak, go!" Cairo called as he whipped an expanded Pokeball to the air where it was temporarily blocked from sight by the sun. A loud sound and a falling spill of light, however, confirmed Marowak's release. The boy theorized that Cairo wouldn't be taking it easy, "If he's using a strong Pok?mon...Go, Fearow!" the boy called as he released his airborne Pok?mon.
"Fearow...Marowak, Bonemarang, and follow it in close!" Cairo ordered as Marowak drew its arm back, then quickly forward to release a puissant bone. "Wak!" it exclaimed as it leapt forward into a sprint. "Fearow, dodge it, then drill peck!" the boy ordered as A large bird quickly dipped below the oncoming bone and dove at Marowak. "Headbutt!" Cairo ordered. The drill peck made contact but did little do affect Marowak through its thick skull, which dealt fair damage to a Fearow who was sent back through the air by the attack. "Row!" it ululated as a rebounding bone collided with its back sending it, again towards Marowak. "Now Bone Club!" Cairo ordered as Marowak's bone returned firmly to its hand and Fearow was spiraling towards him. "Gust, Fearow!" the boy called as Fearow writhed about rapidly to stir a strong wind. It reached Marowak's periphery and the gust prevented a leaping Marowak from making contact, the battle was seemingly in slow motion before the Gust finally took full affect and blew Marowak back with a booming sound. "Wak!" it said as it flew backward and collided with the ground. "Fearrrrrow!" it cried as it came in on an unexpecting, Marowak. "Wing attack!" The boy ordered as a hardened wing on a low-flying Pok?mon directed itself towards the small ground-type. "Bone club!" Cairo ordered. Marowak took both hands and drew the bone ahead of him, vertically so that it would prevent direct contact from the wing attack, and slow Fearow. "Jump atop its wing!" Cairo ordered.
Fearow fluttered its wings rapidly to prevent Marowak from boarding, but an agile Pok?mon proved to much and secured itself on an irked flying-type. It took to the sky where the boy commanded, "Fly, on the tree!" He directed the attack on nearby foliage, apparently in order to forcibly remove Marowak. "On its head Marowak!" Cairo ordered as Marowak ascended its long neck and secured itself atop Fearow's head. "Slam Marowak into the tree!" the overzealous trainer commanded. Marowak's eyes grew wide as he rapidly approached the trunk of a large tree, but was calmed as Cairo commanded, "Wait for it.." "Now!" the boy and Cairo ordered synonymously as Marowak flipped backward, spinning through the air. Fearow's head made harsh contact with a tree that was shaken so badly its major roots emerged from the ground slightly. "Bonemerang!" Cairo ordered to the airborne Marowak, who whipped the bone at a precise angle so that it made contact with Fearow and rebounded to Marowak who had landed comfortably on the ground. Marowak stared forward as the Fearow, stayed in a fixed position, head-in-tree. "F-fearow..Are you ok?" the boy inquired, frozen in a position with his fist raised triumphantly, with one leg before the other, as he was poised for victory before Marowak's move. "R-..." it began, "Row..." it said as it finally collapsed from the tree with a loud, 'THUD" to the grass below. It's eyes took on the appearance of spiraling symbols, and it was evidently incapacitated. "Fearow is unable to battle, the winner is Marowak!" Chad announced as the boy ran to his Pok?mon. "Are you okay?" he asked compassionately as Fearow's eyes returned to their normal state and it looked endearingly to its trainer. "Great job, Fearow, you deserve a nice, long rest" He assured his Pok?mon as he drew a Pokeball and recalled it in a flash of red.
"Cairo" he said as stood, "thank you, you've taught me a lot" he assured Cairo as he began to walk away, "Oh and next time..." he began, "Yeah?" Cairo asked, "I'm winning" he said, smiling before sprinting back to the Pok?mon center. The trainers laughed softly as they watched the boy trip his clumsy self back to the center, "He was sweet" Alison said. "Mm" Cairo said, "Well, I suppose I have to know now..because if I'm not taking Salamence, I'll need a ferry ticket" Cairo stated, referring to his move to Two Island, and whether or not they'd be joining him.

After the battle had ended and the boy made his way to the Pok?mon center, Alison walked up to Cairo and said "He was sweet." Then Cairo started talking about a ferry ticket to get to the other islands. "And I'll need one too." Alison said hugging him. "I'm coming with you." She added before Cubone appeared and walked over to Marowak. The Cubone looked up at the Pok?mon, eyes wide. "Cu..." He said as he looked at the large bone in the Pok?mon's hand.
