He placed his hand on hers and sighed, leaning back in the chair, beffudled. "Well, what are we going to do, I mean, Darkrai dreams don't just happen...they...Agh, I don't know, are we just supposed to ignore this?" He inquired, mostly Alison but addressing the object generally as well. Jessica was upright, panting on her bed while Chad held her in his arms, "I don't know, I just don't know..." Cairo reasoned as he sank his head slightly Beautifly fluttered about before Cairo finally drew a Pokeball, expanded it and announced, "Return" before a red beam outstreched and broke down Beautifly's mass from across the room. The beam fell apart upon entering the ball and a louder, echoing noise ensued.

"Are you sure you're ok?" Chad asked Jessica who was trying to convince him she was fine. "Yes, i'm alright, just kind of...crowded." Chad realized she wanted to be alone and he kissed her on the head before leaving, followed shortly after by Cairo and Alison. Cairo and Alison were walking and talking and barely acknowledging Chad being there. Chad went back into his room where his Pok?mon were waiting for him. Alakazam had learned how to play a game on the computer and didn't willingly give it up to Chad who wanted to do a search on Darkrai.

"I'll be fine. If I need anything, I'll come get you" Alison said with a smile after kissing Cairo good night again. She then hugged him tightly. "I love you" She said before returning to her room with Vulpix. She sat on her bed and thought. She couldn't sleep and knew that she wouldn't so she just sat there.

Cairo watched as Alison bid him goodnight. Chad was in his room, Jessica in hers, and he decided he'd really rather not go into his. There was no point in going, no one else was sleeping, he knew that, and for whatever reason, he just felt less than compelled to make the trip into his room when it was easier to fall to the wall of the hallway and slide into sitting amdist the darkness. He had showered that morning, it wasn't like it would be gross if he waited until tomorrow morning, so he figured that's what he'd do, sit in the hall. He didn't know why, he was concerned and confused, it just seemed easier to sit there.

After a few hours of mindless sitting, Alison stood and slipped on a pair of slippers and returning Vulpix before she walked into the hallway. She then saw a mass and, after her eyes adjusted to the dark, she saw it was Cairo. She sat down next to him and said "What are you doing out here?"

"I don't really know" he answered, "I don't know much anymore" he told her as he stared blankly ahead of him. Eventually however, he turned his head back toward her. He worried about her, about Darkrai, and about her desire to return to Hoenn. She wanted to be with her team, her family and her old life, he wasn't fulfilling something, and he couldn't quite figure it out. "Why are you awake miss matthews?" He inquired, just seeing her most accentuated features through the dark.

"I just couldn't sleep. I was going to just walk around in the lobby for a while, but I walked out here and there you were. So I decided to sit with you." She said leaning against him. She gave a soft sigh before saying, "I was thinking and there are times you seen out if here. Is something wrong?" She asked taking his hand.

"No...I just am...anxious I guess" he offered before raising their clutched hands and pushing closer to her. He rested their hands at the bottom of the slope of their upright knees. "But I got worried, about Jessica, and about you, and I've never really felt that about anyone but Dani, and not even to that degree with her. It scares me to get connected out here because Kyleigh left once, and now you're planning to" He said, head turned toward her, but looking downward as opposed to her eyes. He sighed before letting his backward and against the wall, "not to mention I'm nervous about my battle with Spenser. The battle with Lucy was one of the toughest I've ever been in, and I keep telling myslef that the last three are going to be even more difficult, I just wonder how long Chad and I can keep winning" He added before letting out one more sigh, before he looked down to his right. Alison sat to his left, and he didn't move away from her, or relinquish their hold on one another's hands, but he utilized his right hand to send an expanded Pokeball to the floor. He didn't so much toss it as let it fall, before it exploded into noise and luminescence that filled the room for a moment before a small bone-wielding Pok?mon emerged and walked to Cairo's side, and sat down beside him, both hands on its bone as it looked to it.

"But Kyleigh and I have something different. I may be leaving but your coming too" she said as she tightened her grip on his hand which was rested on their knees. She leaned her head on his shoulder and wrapped her free hand around his arm. "Plus I'm not leaving till you and Chad defeat the all of the frontier brains." she said after curling up closer to him.

Cairo kissed Alison's forehead, "I love you, Ali" he told her, whispering. As Cairo looked to the dark hallway, he noticed Maorwak ascend to its feet, "What are you doing?" he asked as Marowak walked swiftly to the staircase wielding its bone. He looked to it, and watched as it stood there, bone raised as if something was going to come up the steps, or at least, if someone did, he'd be ready. Cairo shook his head and assumed an impish nature was getting the best of Marowak before he took his free hand and ran it under Alison's chin, raising her head and leaning in to kiss his friend.

She smiled as Cairo lifted her chin. She leaned in and their lips met. She kissed with passion as she wrapped her arms around him tightly, not wanting to let go. Marowak was at the end of the hall in attack mode. It was late into the night and no one would be up for hours to come. Alison sat their, in Cairo's arms, their lips locked and she was enjoying every moment of it.

He leaned in further until they were laying down beside each other, locked in an embrace, while a nervous Marowak still stood dormant. He descended the stairs with calm agility, Alison and Cairo not noticing at all given a situationally consuming moment. He reached the last step before leaping off and running to the familiar chisoned bench before the window. He raised his arm and threw it atop the bench before lifting himself up to its peak, stumbling slighlty, but getting there just fine, until he put bone wielding and free hand to the window sill, looking out to see an illuminated building in the distance. An awkward feeling coursed through him, as Pok?mon were more in tuned to situation and intent than humans were, he knew something heinous was taking place somewhere on Chrono Island.

Soon their kiss ended and they stood in each others' arms. After looking around, Alison asked, "Where's Marowak?" She asked noticing the small bone-wielding Pok?mon had gone missing. Cairo helped her up as they walked downstairs. As they reached the bottom step, they saw the Pok?mon, bone in hand, one the window sill looking out into the darkness.

"What are you doing?" Cairo inquired as he approached his Pok?mon. Marowak answered promptly by raising his bone and tapping it to the window, "Wak" he issued as he pointed out the building with the weapon. "What's out there?" Cairo inquired kneeling on the bench and looking out the window, doing his best to let his eyes follow the path of Marowak's bone. "Well" he began, "If something's wrong, we'll check it out tomorrow, alright bud?" he told his Pok?mon, form of a rhetorical question. Marowak turned to Cairo and after a moment of silence, nodded its head slowly. "Okay, why don't you come back" Cairo said as he raised his Pokeball, "Wak!" it exclaimed as it leapt from the beam into a rolling landing on the floor, before ascending to a defensive stance. "Since when do you not listen..." Cairo inquired to himself, perplexed at Marowak's awkward attitude tonight. "Alright" he began, "Stay out with me tonight" he concluded, assuming Marowak had some reason to want to protect Cairo tonight. "Come on" he said issuing Marowak to his side as he and Alison began to walk toward the stairwell to the upper floor.

Alison let out a soft yawn as they walked up the stairs. "Finally getting tired?" Cairo asked as they reached the spot they had sat at previously. "Just alittle" She said as they sat down, Marowak at Cairo's left, Alison at his right. She took his hand and leaned against him and yawned again. They exchanged light conversation before soft breathing was heard from a sleeping Alison.
